Marilyn Chambers (born Marilyn Briggs) was born on April 22, 1952. Her body was found by her daughter at her Santa Clarita home. An autopsy will be done to find out the cause of death, but currently, the police do not think that there was foul play involved. While there is no such thing as a well timed death. Poor Marilyn’s demise couldn’t have come at a worse time.

MARILYN Chambers’ death is off-Broadway’s loss. The famed porn star and Ivory Snow model had recently signed to star in “Deep Throat: The Play,” in the role of Linda Love lace’s “aging porn star girlfriend.” Producer David Bertolino told avn.com that when the “Behind the Green Door” legend auditioned for the show, set to open at the World Theater in July, “she aced it, she was wonderful . . . We’re going into rehearsals in June, and we’re shocked, we’re devastated.”

Chambers first came out on the scene on a soap box in the 70’s. She later decided to go into porn and had gotten the lead role in “Behind the Green Door”.  That movie became the most widely circulated porn movie of that time.

Later in life, Chambers did run for vice-president in 2003 for the Personal Choice Party ticket. A libertarian politcal group.

Porn Star Marily Chambers was found dead at Sunday at her home in her Canyon County home in California.  She was found unresponsive on Sunday night in her residence.  Her death is still under investigation.

Marilyn Chambers (April 22, 1952 – April 12, 2009) was an American pornographic actress, exotic dancer, and vice-presidential candidate. She was perhaps best known for her 1972 hardcore debut Behind the Green Door.

Chambers happened to see an advertisement for a casting call and rushed to the audition, only to find it was for a porno film. She was about to leave when the Mitchell brothers noticed her resemblance to Cybill Shepherd, agreed a wholesome blonde actress was needed for the film, and stopped her. Chambers, who was initially ambivalent about starring in Behind the Green Door, asked Artie and Jim Mitchell for a $25,000 salary and a percentage of the gross, never expecting they would agree. After filming concluded, she informed them that she was “the Ivory Snow Girl”; the Mitchells capitalized on this by billing her as the “99 and 44/100% pure” girl. Procter & Gamble quickly dropped her after discovering her double life as an adult film actress. Nearly every adult film she made following this incident featured a cameo of her Ivory Snow box

In the film, Chambers had sex with the well-endowed African-American actor Johnny Keyes. She also fainted at the end of one scene lasting over 45 minutes.
